Upon membership in the Washington State Bar in 1989, she began to practice law. Her practice has been primarily in the area of criminal law. She worked as a Public Defender for the City of Bellevue and then moved briefly to Yakima as a Felony Public Defender. While in Yakima she represented clients on a wide range of cases from drug possession to murder. Coming back to the Puget Sound area she was hired by the City of Seattle as a prosecutor. She prosecuted misdemeanor cases ranging from Driving offenses to DUI and Domestic Violence Assault. Drue represented the City in approximately 100 jury trials. For a few short years, Drue was Staff Counsel for Allstate Insurance Company. Missing criminal practice, she went back and worked for a highly regarded DUI defense firm in Bellevue, WA. She represented the firm’s clients in Department of Licensing Administrative Hearings as well as the firms Appeals to Superior Court and the Court of Appeals. She has made dozens of oral arguments in these Courts. She also has a published case, Letourneau v. State of Washington, Department of Licensing, 131 Wn. App. 657, (2006).
Since 1995 Drue has been a Pro Tem Judge in Snohomish County. She presides over District Court calendars consisting of criminal matters and civil cases when the sitting Judges are absent. Drue has presided over countless jury trials, motions, plea calendars, sentencing and reviews. She has gained a reputation as being fair, open minded, decisive and considerate of all litigants. She’s been requested to speak at various continuing legal education seminars throughout her career and recently gained admission to practice Law in the State of Texas.
In 2009, Drue joined Padula and Associates. She has known Lizanne for many years and they decided to join forces. Drue represents clients on most criminal charges including but not limited to; DUI, Assault, DV, Burglary, Forgery, etc.
Drue is married, loves dogs and rides her horse as often as possible.
